FiberProbes ® BRCA

A valuable tool to screen large rearrangements in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes for the detection of mutations occurring in Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (HBOC)

The FiberProbes® for BRCA is a set of Genomic Morse Codes (GMC), developed by Genomic Vision, aims to identify and characterize major rearrangements that affect the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. With a specific GMC design, the direct analysis of stretched DNA molecule gives a panoramic view of the BRCA genes and their genomic environment, allowing a high sensitivity detection of large rearrangements.

We have designed high-resolution Genomic Morse Codes covering exons, non-coding sequences and large flanking regions of both BRCA genes

BRCA 1 Genomic Morse Code 

Probe and interval sizes are indicated in kb.The complete BRCA1 GMC covers a genomic region of 195 kb and is composed of 15 signals of a distinct color (green, red, or blue). Each signal is composed of one or two single DNA probes. Learn more
